Subjecting Your Machine to the Turing Test

The Turing test is a test that helps to determine a machine's intelligence. The test is carried out with a human judge who carries out a natural language conversation with one human and one machine. All the participants are placed in isolated locations and both the machine and the human will attempt to appear human. The human judge must be able to judge correctly which is the human and which is the machine. If the human judge is unable to distinguish between the two, then the computer is deemed to have passed the Turing test.

This test is increasingly becoming important as human society relies more and more on information technology. The computer and the internet are becoming more pervasive instruments in human life, as humanity experiences the information age.
